Tips for making this refreshing drink

While making this recipe is so easy, these tips will make blending your homemade frozen pineapple lemonade so much simpler:

Donโ€™t have frozen pineapple? Donโ€™t worry! Using frozen pineapple helps thicken your drink and adds to the texture of the frozen lemonade. But if you donโ€™t have any frozen pineapple on hand, you can make your own. If you have canned pineapple, just strain the juice from the can, then spread the pineapple pieces on a baking sheet. Place the sheet in the freezer and freeze for 30 minutes to an hour. You can use the same method to freeze fresh pineapple.

If your blender has issues blending large quantities of ice, try adding the ice in increments of ยฝ cup to prevent bombarding your blender blades. Start with ยฝ cup, along with the lemonade and half the frozen pineapple. Blend until smooth, then add the remaining pineapple and ice, and blend again. Continue adding ice until the frozen lemonade is the consistency you like.
