They are probably the most delicious cookies youโll ever eat for several reasons. Watergate Cookies arenโt your average everyday cookies. They are simple, but they are also the most delicious cookies youโll ever eat.
What Are Watergate Cookies?
The age-old question is what are these type of cookies? I donโt want to leave you hanging, so letโs jump right into what these cookies are. These cookies are made out of delicious ingredients like pecans, eggs, canola oil, and pistachio pudding. Once you put all these ingredients together, youโre going to get a cookie that has a greenish look to it with chopped pecans on the outside. All of these flavors work together to make the most delicious cookie!
Ingredients for Watergate Cookies
Now that you know what ingredients are in these cookies, letโs talk a little about some of these ingredients. For me, the ingredients are important because it helps make the cookie what it is. You just canโt go wrong with using these ingredients in your cookies!
Pistachio pudding – I know youโve probably never used pistachio pudding in cookies before, but this is such a fun ingredient. Not only are the cookies going to turn green as a result of the pistachio pudding, but the flavor is awesome! If you donโt know what pistachio pudding has a fresh and nutty flavor. Itโs actually really good.
Boxed cake mix – Everyone has used boxed cake mix in a recipe or two of theirs. I love using a boxed cake mix because it takes a lot of work out of everything for me. You simply dump into a bowl and add the other ingredients. Before you know it, you can be enjoying delicious cookies that you canโt buy at the store.
Pecans – Did you know that pecans are my favorite nut ever? This is ironic because weโre using pistachio pudding in this recipe too. Itโs actually quite awesome because all of the ingredients work together to create these yummy cookies. The pecans are an important part of that flavor.
Eggs – You, of course, cannot make this recipe without eggs. I love eggs and all of the baking that I can do. Letโs not forget that eggs are a great source of protein and help give our bodies lots of good stuff!

How to Store Cookies
After you make these delicious cookies, what are you going to do with them? The answer is so simple. Grab your favorite storage container for storing these cookies. Add the cookies and then put them on the countertop.
As long as you keep the lid closed, these cookies can last quite a long time. Of course, just like anything else thatโs good in my house. Everything gets gobbled up very quickly.

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mixย
- 1 pkg pistachio puddingย small box
- ยฝ cup unsweetened shredded coconutย
- ยฝ cup chopped pecans
- 2 large eggs
- ยฝ cup canola oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paperย
- Using a mixing bowl, beat together all ingredients until combinedย
- Scoop some cookie dough onto the parchment paper and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned
