Ravioli Pomodoro is an easy entree that your whole family will love. Cheese ravioli and tomato sauce combine to make a simple meal that can be on the table in under 45 minutes!

- cheese ravioli
- olive oil
- fresh garlic cloves – Fresh garlic tastes best, however, the jarred minced garlic can be instead.
- crushed tomatoes – I like to use San Marzano tomatoes.
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- Salt and black pepper
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions

Boil the ravioli according to the package directions. Meanwhile, saute the garlic in a large skillet with olive oil.
Then add the tomatoes, and seasonings to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
Gently add the cooked ravioli and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
Hint: If your family loves cheese, top the dish with some fresh mozzarella for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Storage
Storage – Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Reheating – Reheat the ravioli Pomodoro in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Or a large batch on the stovetop over medium heat. If you need to thin the sauce, try adding a splash of broth or water.

Ravioli Pomodoro
Equipment
- large pot

Ingredients
- 20 ounces cheese ravioli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ravioli according to package instructions.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir in dried oregano and basil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Gently fold the cooked ravioli into the tomato sauce, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve the Ravioli Pomodoro hot, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
