This Peach Cobbler French Toast is the perfect breakfast treat for any occasion. Made with fresh peaches and a creamy custard, it’s sure to become a family favorite.
Being from Georgia peaches are always a favorite in our household. And, well look forward to going to a peach orchard to pick our peaches.
So, I’m always looking for delicious recipes to use our farm-fresh peaches. And, this one has become a family favorite.

Ingredients

- French bread – I used a loaf of french bread from the bakery dept of my local grocery store.
- large eggs
- whole milk
- heavy cream
- granulated sugar
- brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- ground cinnamon
- ground nutmeg
- salt
- fresh peaches – You can also use thawed
- unsalted butter
- Powdered sugar
- Maple syrup
Instructions

Layer the bread cubes and sliced peaches in the prepared pan.
In a large bowl or measuring cup mix the custard ingredients.
Pour the egg mixture over the peaches and bread. Then cover and chill for at least 2 hours. Preferably 8.
Remove the plastic wrap and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
Storage
Storage – Store leftovers in an airtight container or cover your casserole dish with plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Reheating – Reheat single servings in the microwave for about 1 minute. You can also reheat the entire casserole in the oven at 350 degrees for 15- 20 minutes.
Wendy’s Test Kitchen Tips
- I prefer to use a glass or ceramic casserole dish for french toast casserole.
- Your casseroles need at least two hours of chill time, but you can leave them in the fridge for up to 12 hours.
- Allow the casserole for about 10-15 minutes before slicing it.

Ingredients
- 14 ounces French bread cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches or 1-2 cans of peaches, drained
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
- Maple syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread half of the bread cubes evenly in the dish.
- Layer the sliced peaches over the bread cubes.
- Top with the remaining bread cubes, spreading them out evenly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar,
- vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and peaches, ensuring all the bread is soaked.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the plastic wrap and bake the casserole for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the top is golden
- brown and the center is set.
- Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup if desired.
