Hint: For the best results, I like to use 80/20 ground chuck for this recipe. However, you can use any type of ground beef that you have on hand.

Storage

Storage – Store leftover hamburger steaks in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Reheating – I’ve found the best way to reheat the steaks are in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or the single servings in a skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side. You can also reheat in the microwave.

Wendy’s Test Kitchen Tips

  • Don’t overmix the ground beef mixture, you want to handle it as little as possible so that the patties will stick together.
  • I like to spray my casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray so that it cleans up easily.
  • I’ve found that reheating in the oven or skillet is the best way, however, the microwave will also work.
