This Cool Whip Candy is an easy candy recipe with few ingredients. During any holiday, being able to make candy at home is a real treat. You don’t have to go to the store to make this candy, you can make it right at home.

Instructions

Melt milk chocolate chips in the microwave and stir until smooth

Cool at room temperature for 20 minutes

Line 8×8 dish with parchment paper

Fold cool whip into cooled chocolate until well combined

Pour into prepared dish

Freeze for 30 minutes then remove from dish and cut into approximately 30 pieces

Place pieces on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes

Store in the freezer until ready to serve & enjoy!

Hint: Be sure to allow the semi-sweet chocolate chips to cool for the full 20 minutes before mixing in the Cool Whip.

  • Dairy free chocolate – If you can’t use regular chocolate for this recipe, feel free to use dairy free.
  • Sugar free options – I have to say that you can also use sugar free cool whip and sugar free chocolate to make these candies perfect for whatever diet you need to stick to.
  • Allergy free sprinkles – Don’t worry if you can’t use regular sprinkles, grab yourself some allergy friendly sprinkles, so that everyone you love can enjoy these!

I believe that most recipes can be switched up. If you’re needing to enjoy a sugar-free or dairy-free diet, I hope these small changes help!

If you’d like to store this candy, then you’re in for a surprise. Place the candy in airtight containers and then place it in the fridge.

You can also freeze the Cool Whip Candy by placing it in freezer-friendly containers and placing it in the freezer. You can put them in the freezer for up to a month.

Tips

  • For this Cool Whip Candy, I would recommend splurging on the expensive chocolate. The better the chocolate that you use, the better this candy will turn out.
  • Do not use an electric mixer for mixing, as you need to be gentle with this homemade chocolate bars recipe.
  • If you don’t want to melt the chocolate in the microwave, you can use a double boiler instead.
