💭 Tips
- If you don’t have buttermilk, you can combine milk with lemon juice or vinegar to make your own from scratch to use in this recipe for Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins.
- Use any chocolate chips you’d like, including milk or dark chocolate. If you want more chocolate, use chocolate chunks instead of chips.
- If you want to make this recipe into quick bread instead of muffins, pour the batter into a greased and floured 9×5 loaf pan. Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- You can also top these muffins with a crumble before you bake them for extra flavor.
- I like to use cupcake liners for easy cleanup, but you can skip them if you prefer.
- When I freeze these muffins, I like to wrap them individually in plastic wrap, and then place them in a freezer bag.
- Do not skip the step of tossing the strawberries in flour. This is a great way to prevent the strawberries from sinking in homemade muffins.
