Wendy’s Tips

  • Use separate bowls for each candy melt color so the swirls stay vibrant and distinct.
  • Stir the candy melts really well between microwave intervals to prevent scorching.
  • Don’t over-swirl the colors or they can start blending together too much.
  • Add the gummy sharks while the bark is still soft so they stick properly.
  • For extra texture, sprinkle crushed cookies or candy pearls over the top.
  • You can swap the shark gummies for fish-shaped candies or ocean-themed sprinkles for a different look.

FAQ

Do you have questions about this recipe? Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions.

How do I know when the candy bark is set?

The bark is ready once it feels firm to the touch and easily lifts from the parchment paper.

Can I use white chocolate instead of almond bark?

Yes, white chocolate works fine, but almond bark usually melts smoother and sets more easily.

Do I have to refrigerate the bark?

No, it can set at room temperature, but refrigerating speeds things up if you’re short on time.

Can I make this ahead of time?

Absolutely. This bark is perfect for making a day or two before a party or event.
