Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie

I remember eating peanut butter pie has a little girl and I couldn’t wait until I learned how to make it when I got older. It’s always been my favorite pie and it continues to be a household favorite too.

No one likes to eat a bad pie, which is why you have to make sure you’re using a good recipe. I can tell you that my recipe has been approved! It’s delicious and everyone that has tried it has loved it.

Benefits of the Ingredients

I know you probably think it’s a stretch to find benefits of the ingredients in a pie. Let me tell you though, each ingredient I use in my recipe is delicious. And some of the ingredients have some major benefits to your body. Let’s break down some of these ingredients and their benefits.

Cream cheese– I love using cream cheese in my recipes. It’s high in fat and low in calories, plus it can help make any recipe super creamy and oh-so-yummy. You’ll also get your helping of Vitamin B2 when you use cream cheese in your recipes.

Peanut butter – I know that everyone has their opinion on peanut butter but mine has always been a positive one. Not only does peanut butter taste good, but it has a few benefits worth noting. Peanut butter contains a lot of fiber, which is good for anyone’s body. Peanut butter also is high in protein, which can help your blood sugar.

Whipping cream – In my opinion, not enough people know about the benefits of whipping cream. This delicious ingredient can bring calcium to your life. Whipping cream also has good stuff in it like Vitamin A and phosphorus.

As you can see, these are only a select few ingredients I’m using, but there are many more. I love learning about the benefits of the ingredients of the foods I use in my recipes, especially Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie.

How to Store Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie

Because this pie is made out of dairy, you need to store it in the fridge. Plus, if this pie gets too warm it could just melt. It’s best kept in the fridge in an airtight container. Once it’s in the container, you can store it in your fridge for up to 3-5 days! This pie always goes really fast when I make it.

If you’re thinking about making this Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie, you are not making a bad decision. Everyone will love your pie and ask you to make it again. I’ve made this pie so many times for potlucks and even for our own family and it’s always a hit! What’s your favorite part of this pie?
