Candy Corn Rolo Bark

This recipe only requires a handful of ingredients and it’s simple to make.  There’s no standing over a hot stove, all you need is the microwave for melting and a sheet pan to make your bark in.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Chocolate Chips – semi sweet

Shortening – any kind.  I used the original.

Caramels – I used Kraft soft caramels

Dairy – heavy whipping cream

Pretzels – I used mini pretzels but any kind works
Candy – Rolo’s unwrapped and candy corn

Step 1. Line a 15×11 half sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2. Add the chocolate chips and shortening to a microwave safe bowl.

Step 3. Microwave in 30 second increments until completely melted and smooth.  Be sure to stir before each microwave round.

Step 4. Pour the melted chocolate into the lined sheet pan and smooth out evenly to the edges with a rubber spatula.

Step 5. Place the unwrapped Rolo candies randomly on top of the melted chocolate.

Step 6. Next, add the pretzels on top of the melted chocolate bark.

Step 7. Sprinkle the candy corn on top of the melted chocolate bark, paying attention to any empty spaces between the Rolo’s and pretzels.

Step 8. In a small microwave safe bowl, microwave the caramels and the cream in 30 second increments until completely melted and smooth.  Making sure to stir in between rounds in the microwave.

TIPS AND FAQS

You can store this bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.

This Candy Corn Rolo bark recipe is very flexible.   You can use milk or dark chocolate, and any type of candy that you prefer.

One of my favorite twists on this recipe is to use Reese’s peanut butter cups in place of the Rolo’s.  Our family loves peanut butter!

While you are building your bark on your sheet pan, pay attention to gaps or holes in your bark.  Use the ingredients to fill in those spaces so that all of your chocolate is covered with the other ingredients to the bark.
