🔪 Instructions

Step 1: Microwave the corn then shuck it

Shuck the corn easily by microwaving the ears for 3 minutes. Remove the stem at the base of the corn and squeeze the corn from the husk. This is a super simple way to clean the corn.

Step 2: Cut the corn into ribs

Cut the corn in half long ways and then cut the half into another half. Each ear of corn should yield 4 long quarter pieces.

Step 3: Air fry the ribs

Place corn ribs in an air fryer basket and spray with oil. Cook at 350 for 10 minutes until corn is cooked.

Step 4: Add parmesan cheese to a shallow dish

While cooking, pour grated parmesan into a flat dish.

Step 5: Brush the corn with mayo and dredge in cheese

When corn is finished cooking, brush each corn rib with mayonnaise and then coat the kernels in the parmesan.

Step 6: Season the corn ribs

Season ribs with red chili powder. For a spicier taste add a few dashes of cayenne.

Hint: If you don’t have a silicone bbq brush or pastry brush to use for the mayo, you can spread it on with a spoon or butter knife.

🥄 Equipment

🥫 Storage

You can store any leftover corn ribs in the fridge in an airtight container. They will store for 2-3 days. I find that the mayo and cheese can soften up the corn a bit, so it is best eaten fresh.

You can eat leftovers cold or opt to warm them up in the microwave or even back in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes or until warm again.

⁉️ FAQ

Do you have questions about this simple recipe? Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions for this air fryer corn riblets recipe.

Can you eat the whole corn rib?

No, you will only eat the corn off the cob, not the corn cob itself. You will treat it just the way you do corn on the cob traditionally made.

Is it hard to cut corn into corn ribs?

The biggest key is to use a large knife that is sharp. This will help you to get those clean cuts you need for the ribs.

Can you use a dipping sauce for corn ribs?

Absolutely! If you are a fan of dipping whip up or buy your favorite dipping sauces. I think a creamy sour cream based dip would be good or even drizzle a little Sriracha on top to spice it up.
