Ingredients

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  • Melt the pink candy melts by microwaving for 30 second increments, stirring well in between.
A bowl of bright pink melted candy coating with a spoon inside, next to a bowl of Rice Krispies treats and several blue striped straws.
  • Use a spoon to drop the candy into the shell mold, and use a toothpick to ensure that the shells are evenly filled with the candy.
A round pink silicone mold with sea animal shapes, a few blue and white striped straws, and a bowl of Rice Krispies treats on a white surface.
  • Allow those to set, about 20 minutes, then remove from the mold. We made two molds full.
A white plate with small, pink sea-themed candies shaped like shells and starfish; striped blue straws and a bowl of rice treats in the background.
  • Discard the rest of the pink candy.
  • Add the graham cracker sheets to a gallon storage bag and crush to crumbs.
A white bowl filled with crushed graham crackers sits on a white surface next to several blue and white striped paper straws.
  • Melt the blue candy melts by microwaving for 30 second increments, stirring well in between, until melted.
  • Add the paper straws to one end of the rice Krispie treats.
Nine rectangular Rice Krispies treats with blue and white striped sticks inserted, arranged on a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Dip the treats into the melted blue candy.
A hand holds a rice krispies treat on a blue striped stick, partially dipped in blue frosting, above a parchment-lined surface with more treats.
  • Quickly sprinkle the bottoms with graham cracker crumbs, add one of the shells we made using the mold, and add a couple of pearl sprinkles.
  • Place the treats onto the prepared baking sheet and allow them to set for about an hour.
Rice Krispie treats on sticks dipped in blue coating, decorated with pink sea-themed fondant shapes and cookie crumbs, arranged on a light surface with a white tiled background.

Notes

  • Insert the paper straw before dipping for easier handling.
  • Let excess candy coating drip off before decorating.
  • Decorate immediately after dipping so toppings stick well.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking while setting.
