  • Baking Sheet
  • knife
  • Parchment Paper
  • brush

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry thawed
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon apricot jam optional, for glaze

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases, then transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Arrange the apple slices in overlapping rows on the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Brush the apples with melted butter, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • If using apricot jam, warm it slightly and brush it over the tart for a glossy finish.
  • Allow the tart to cool slightly before cutting and serving.
