Ingredients

  • 6 frozen waffles toasted and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cups frozen chicken tenders cooked according to package directions and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Maple syrup for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer the waffle pieces and cooked chicken bites evenly in the baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the waffles and chicken.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the casserole is set and the top is golden.
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.

Notes

  • Pop your frozen waffles in the toaster to keep them crisp and sturdy. 
  • Swap in mozzarella or pepper jack for a flavorful spin!
