These Air Fryer Matcha Cookies are crispy on the outside with a soft chewy center and filled to the brim with rich chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 300°f.
  • Add salt, baking soda, and flour to large bowl. Mix
  • Add brown sugar, sugar, matcha, and softened butter in a separate large bowl, and mix until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and mix.
  • Slowly stir in the flour while the batter is whisking.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Cover the bottom of the air fryer basket with a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough (or 2 tbsp). Roll it into an even ball and place it in an air fryer basket. Leave room around each cookie to expand.
  • Cook at 300° for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once done let cookies rest for 5 minutes and remove them to a cookie rack for further cooling. Enjoy warm and with a glass of cold milk!

Notes

  • You can also bake these cookies in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
