This Air Fryer Broccoli and Cauliflower is a simple side that requires a few ingredients and comes together quickly. I think it's my new favorite way to make broccoli!
air fryer - I used an 8 quart but any size will work.
Ingredients
1large head of cauliflower
1large head of broccoli
1branch of fresh basil
4-5clovesgarlic
2tablespoonsolive oil
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonpepper
2teaspoonsItalian seasoning
¼cupgrated parmesan cheese
Instructions
To prepare the cauliflower, cut the head in half from top to bottom straight down the center stalk.
Viewing the halves of cauliflower, cut away the branches of cauliflower from the stalk. After clumps of cauliflower are cut away, begin to separate the smaller piece clumped together. Discard the stalk and any leaves.
Set cauliflower aside in a bowl.
To prepare the broccoli, begin cutting away the branches of broccoli from the stalk. Cut the smaller clumps into pieces. Set the pieces of broccoli in the bowl with the cauliflower.
Thoroughly wash the broccoli and cauliflower to wash away debris. Set aside.
Remove the leaves from the branch of the basil. Stack the leaves together and roll. Begin to chop the rolled leaves into small diced slivers of basil. Add half of the diced basil to the broccoli and cauliflower.
Remove the skin on the cloves of garlic and slice the cloves into thin slivers. Add to the broccoli and cauliflower.
Drizzle the broccoli and cauliflower with the oil.
Add the spices and parmesan. Toss the broccoli and cauliflower to fully coat the spices and parmesan.
Place broccoli and cauliflower in the air fryer basket, and cook at 350°f for 15 or until broccoli and cauliflower is tender and can be pierced with a fork.
Enjoy as a main dish or a side.
Notes
Try to cut the broccoli and cauliflower into similar-sized pieces so that they cook evenly.
