- 1 cup pancake mix
- ⅔ cup milk or as directed on pancake mix
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
- ½ cup toppings berries, chocolate chips, or sprinkles
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar syrup, or glaze
Preheat a donut pan and lightly grease with butter or nonstick spray.
In a bowl, combine the pancake mix, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 1/2 to 3/4 full. Add selected toppings as desired. Do not over-fill.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let donuts cool for a few minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
-
Pipe the batter for clean, uniform donuts.
-
Use nonstick spray generously.
-
Avoid overmixing for a fluffy texture.
- Smaller toppings are better. Larger pieces of berries and chocolate will sink into the donut.
