Rubber Spatula
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Pinch salt
In a mixing bowl using the whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar on low until the powdered sugar is completely incorporated. Scrape down the sides.
To the cream cheese frosting, add the vanilla and salt and beat until blended. Scrape down the sides. Then, increase the speed to medium and beat until fluffy.
- Make sure that you use fully room temperature cream cheese for the fluffiest frosting.
- Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl while it's mixing for best results.
- This frosting is great on top of cakes, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls. Plus, you can use it on cookies.
- Keep the frosting in the fridge to keep it cool and stable.
- This frosting will melt in the heat, so I don't recommend it for summer parties.
