mixing bowls
- 15.25 ounces Funfetti cake mix
- ¾ cup butter melted
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup rainbow sprinkles divided
- 16 ounces frozen whipped topping thawed and divided
- 1.5 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, melted butter, water, eggs, and vanilla until completely mixed, scraping down the sides as needed.
Transfer the cake batter to the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle returns clean. Place the baking dish on a wire rack and allow the cake to cool completely.
Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in ¼ cup sprinkles. Then, fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake.
Next, whisk together the pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes or until it begins to thicken. Spread the pudding over the top of the cream cheese layer.
Add a final layer with the remaining whipped topping and decorate with the remaining sprinkles.
Refrigerate for 2 hours prior to serving.
