Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 4 cups apples peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups pitted cherries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

For the topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the apples, cherries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  • Mix well and transfer to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit filling.
