Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons 1 packet active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 medium ripe banana mashed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or banana extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add mashed banana, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Roll out dough into a 12x18-inch rectangle. Spread the butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture and nuts, if using.
  • Roll up tightly from the long side and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30–45 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 22–25 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
  • Garnish with additional nuts if desired.
