Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil with a wire rack on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and chili powder.
  • Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel and season evenly with the spice mixture.
  • Wrap each drumstick tightly with a slice of bacon, tucking the ends underneath or securing with toothpicks if needed.
  • Place the drumsticks on the wire rack and bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
