Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip

This Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip is ooey, gooey, cheesy, beefy and full of flavor.

This Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip is ooey, gooey, cheesy, beefy and full of flavor. It’s the perfect snack for game day or a party! I promise you will be able to watch it disappear quickly. It has quickly become a “must bring” dish to all our parties.  Everyone looks for me to showing up with my slow cooker full of this dip.

Are you hosting a party soon? Maybe all your friends are gathering to watch a football game? If so, this Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip is perfect for your party! The best part of this dish is that you can keep it in the crockpot on warm so that it doesn’t get cold and enjoy it warm for the entire party. If it lasts that long that is!

Game day is right around the corner and we are getting ready to enjoy the game with friends and family. But, let’s be real I’m only attending the party for the food and commercials plus it’s a great excuse to get together with my friends.

This Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip will bring you all the flavors of a cheesy delicious burger without all the mess and time it takes to prepare them.  It takes less than 20 mins of prep time and then you can kick back and watch the game while it simmers away! Don’t forget to give it a little stir during bathroom breaks though!

For dipping I would recommend using a shell or bowl type of chip. But, if you want to get fancy you could even put a little garlic powder, butter and parsley on a hamburger bun and toast it. Then cut it into strips and eat it with that. It may get a little messy though!

This Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip is simple to make and doesn’t take much effort at all.  My favorite kind of recipe!   All you need to do is brown some ground beef in a skillet with garlic powder and chili powder until no longer pink.  Then you will drain off the grease.  Cube the Velveeta into one inch cubes and add all the ingredients into your slow cooker to simmer and mingle away!  It takes about two hours all together for the flavors to mingle and get along with one another.  And, I recommend stirring a few times just to make sure that all the cheesy goodness gets mixed in well!  We don’t want to waste any of that golden deliciousness.

Want to get really fancy with this Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip?  Try dipping meatballs in it!  Yep, that’s right I said meatballs!  You can’t go wrong with feeding your game day crowd with a meatball dipped in this cheesy deliciousness!   One of my favorite nights of the year to serve this dip is on New Years Eve.  I love that the slow cooker keeps the dip from cooling down, which in turn allows us on to snack on the dip all night while we try to fight back the heavy eye lids.  I mean this dip alone is worth staying up to midnight for!

If you want to control the spice level in this dish especially for the little ones who might want to enjoy it, then you can use anything from Mild Rotel to Hot Rotel.   The hot will add some kick without it being too overwhelming.  If you like more spice, I would suggest adding another can of diced green chilies and also add some cayenne pepper that will kick the heat up a few notches for those that enjoy spicy foods!  Go out and grab your favorite 12 pack and kick back and watch the game with this cheesy delicious Slow Cooker Hamburger Cheese Dip!  Don’t forget to come back and let me know what you think!
