Equipment

  • gallon sized storage bag
  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese five spice blend
  • 4 teaspoons ground white pepper
  • 8 chicken thighs with skin and bones removed

Instructions

  • In a gallon size freezer bag, mix the first six ingredients.
  • Place the chicken thighs into the bag. After sealing the bag, turn it once to coat the chicken. Refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees. Prepare the cooking basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the chicken in the cooking basket without crowding the chicken. (Cook in batches if needed.)
  • Cook for 20 to 30 minutes, turning once, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Allow the chicken to rest for 10 minutes prior to serving.

Notes

Cooking time can vary greatly depending on the wattage of the air fryer and size of the chicken thighs.
