Equipment

  • food processor or blend
  • measuring spoon
  • knife and cutting board
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • small bowls
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper, optional

Ingredients

  • 14.3 ounces Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 15 ounces Colored Candy melts
  • 1 tablespoon Paramount Crystals
  • Candy eyes
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Start by slicing about 15 Oreos in half and remove the frosting. It’s very easy to crumble the cookies, so cut them by dragging the knife across the cookies until they slice in half.
  • Use a food processor or blender to crush the remaining Oreos into fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed cookies, vanilla and cream cheese until thoroughly mixed.
  • Roll into1.5 tablespoon balls and chill for about 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments, stirring in between until the chocolate is melted.
  • Add paramount crystals to the chocolate to thin out the chocolate – your chocolate will go farther if it is thinner.
  • Using a spoon, roll the balls individually into the chocolate and place them on a baking tray. Add sprinkles if desired.
  • Allow the balls to chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
  • After the chocolate is set, add the eyes to monsters and allow to set.

Notes

These oreo balls need to be stored in the fridge. You can store them for up to two weeks in an airtight container.
You can use as many colors as you prefer.  I used light purple, orange, and green.
