Equipment

  • Frosting Bag
  • Scissors
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag Microwave Popcorn
  • 1 Cup Vibrant Green Candy Melts
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil
  • Large Red Heart Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line an average size baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Microwave your popcorn per the package directions. Spread it out on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Place the candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy when stirred. Pause to stir every 30 seconds during the cooking process.
  • Add the coconut oil to the melted chocolate and stir until fully combined.
  • Place the chocolate in a frosting bag and cut a small tip off of it.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn until every piece has a bit of chocolate on it.
  • Sprinkle with the red heart sprinkles and place in the fridge for about 5-10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Break up the popcorn, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

It’s best if the popcorn is spread out in one layer, with no spaces between the popcorn. This allows you to get chocolate on every piece without wasting chocolate.
You can leave your popcorn out of the fridge to dry, if desired, it will just take a while longer to set, unless it’s in a cool, dry area.
If you want to skip the frosting bag, you can use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate instead. It takes longer and doesn’t look as uniform, but it does the trick.
If your chocolate seems overly thick, add a bit more coconut oil to make it easier to use and work with.
I used movie theater butter popcorn and it was the perfect mixture of salty-sweet. However, you can use any type of popcorn you desire, including homemade!
