Pecan Pie Brownies

Equipment

  • 9x13 Baking Pan
  • mixing bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 box Brownie mix prepared as directed
  • 1 C white sugar
  • 1 ½ C light corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¼ C butter melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 C pecans chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prep a 13 x 9 inch metal baking pan with nonstick baking spray.
  • Prepare brownies as directed on the back of the brownie box.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for half of the time listed on the box of brownies.
  • With an electric mixer blend the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Mix completely.
  • Use a large spoon to add in the chopped pecans.
  • Remove the brownies from the oven.
  • Spoon the pecan filling on top of the brownies.
  • Use an offset spatula even the top layer of the filling.
  • Return the brownies to the oven. Continue to bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Take out of the oven
  • Allow to cool completely
  • Cut, serve and Enjoy!
