Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies

Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies are soft cakey cookies that are coated in powdered sugar.  They are made from simple ingredients and turn into an amazing dessert.

Equipment

  • Cookie Sheet or Baking pan

Ingredients

  • cup olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the olive oil and eggs until well blended.
  • Add the cake mix and stir until the dough comes together.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop the dough into one inch balls.
  • Roll each of the balls in your hand then into the powdered sugar.
  • Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Bake 7 minutes, or until they are very lightly browned around the edges and the tops look dry.
  • Let cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes before moving to a cooling rack to cool completely so they don't fall apart. These render soft cookies.

Notes

These cookies are easy to change up by using different cake mixes.
