Equipment

  • 8x8 baking dish
  • Parchment Paper
  • Double boiler
  • Rubber Spatula

Ingredients

  • 11 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 10 Oreo cookies or your favorite cookie
  • ¼ cup pastel M&Ms
  • 2 tablespoons seasonal sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons sanding sugar

Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 baking dish or pan with parchment paper or waxed paper.
  • Crush the cookies into chunky pieces.
  • In a double boiler over medium heat, melt the white chocolate, stirring often until no lumps remain.
  • Pour the white chocolate into prepared pan, smoothing the chocolate out across the whole pan into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the cookies and M&Ms on top of the chocolate, lightly pushing them in place to secure them if needed.
  • Finish the bark with sprinkles and sanding sugar.
  • To harden, place the pan into the freezer for about 10 minutes until completely solidified.
  • Break bark into pieces and serve. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate.

Notes

  • Crush the Oreos evenly: Use a food processor or place the Oreos in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin until they are finely crushed. Make sure to crush them as evenly as possible so that your bark has a uniform texture.
  • Melt the chocolate slowly: Use a double boiler or microwave the chocolate in short bursts, stirring frequently, to prevent it from burning. Be patient and melt the chocolate slowly to keep it smooth and silky.
  • Add your toppings quickly: Once you've spread the melted chocolate on your baking sheet, sprinkle your toppings on right away before the chocolate starts to harden. This will ensure that everything sticks together nicely.
  • Chill thoroughly: After adding your toppings, pop your baking sheet in the fridge for at least an hour (or overnight) until the chocolate has hardened completely. This will make it easier to break into pieces without any mess.
