- 35 saltine crackers about 1 sleeve
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 cups white chocolate baking chips
- Christmas sprinkles
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 15x10x1 baking sheet with parchment paper.
Onto the prepared baking sheet, place the crackers in a single layer without overlapping.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar, stirring occasionally. Bring the sugar to a boil and continue cooking, stirring often, for 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the sugar syrup over the crackers and spread evenly.
Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
While hot, sprinkle the white chocolate baking chips over the toffee layer and allow to rest for about 5 minutes or until the chips can spread evenly.
Add sprinkles over the melted chocolate. Allow to cool completely before lifting the crackers from the baking sheet using the parchment paper. Cut into pieces and serve.
- Be sure to use parchment paper so that the crackers don't stick.
- Make sure that you add the white chocolate while the toffee layer is still hot so that the chocolate melts.
- Allow the melted chips to sit for about 5 minutes before spreading them evenly on top of the candy.
- Allow the Christmas crack to cool completely before you add it to an airtight container.
Store the white chocolate Christmas crack in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. You can also freeze it in an airtight container for up to 1 month. Allow the frozen crackers to thaw at room temperature before serving. Enjoy!
