In my opinion cake mix cookies are great because you don’t have to do a lot of measuring. Plus, they turn out perfectly soft every time that you make them.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs. Stir until fully combined.

  1. Bake the cookies in the 350 degrees preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Storage

Storage – Store the baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. I recommend that you put a slice of bread with your delicious cookies so that they stay soft. 

Freezing – You can also freeze these cookies in a freezer bag for up to three months. Thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes before enjoying.

Wendy’s Tips

  • For the best flavor, make sure that you use a box of butter pecan cake mix because that is where the flavor comes from in these cookies. 
  • I prefer to bake cookies on a piece of parchment paper to prevent the bottoms from browning too much. It also makes it easier to make them to the wire rack to finish cooling. 
  • If you want to add a little extra to these cakes, add 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips or even toffee bits to the cookie dough before you place them on the cookie sheet.

What To Serve With Butter Pecan Cake Mix Cookies

These buttery cookies are great when served with all your favorite cookies for Christmas cookie exchanges. They also go great with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee. For an extra special treat try placing a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream on top of the cookie while it’s still warm.

  • 13.25 ounces butter pecan cake mix
  • ยฝ cup butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ยฝ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs. Stir until fully combined.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
