โ€‹Store: This apple cobbler is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Freezing:  To freeze, let the cobbler cool completely before wrapping it tightly with foil and placing it in a freezer-safe bag. It can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Reheating:ย  Reheating this cake is super easy. You can reheat the entire cake in a 350-degree oven for 15-17 minutes. Single servings can be reheated in the microwave for 1 – 1:30 minutes.

Wendy’s Tips

  • Serve with Ice Cream – To make it even better, eat your apple cobbler cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or pour some caramel sauce on top. The ice cream melting into the warm cake is the best combo ever!
  • Spices: If you are out of nutmeg you can leave it out. Or, you can replace the cinnamon and nutmeg and use apple pie spice instead.
  • Apple Pie Filling: Do you have a lot of fresh apples? If so, make your own apple pie filling and skip the canned kind.

Yes! I usually go with yellow cake mix.. Feel free to experiment and see what you like!

What’s the difference between apple crisp and apple cobbler?

The difference is that a cobbler has a cake or biscuit-like topping. And, is crisp has a sweet and crunch topping that is typically made with brown sugar and oats. I like both!
