(2) Remove yourself from the situation
Once you get going with yelling at your kids, it’s really hard to stop. Removing yourself from the situation is always a good idea. Take a time out, go to your room, and calm down! Your kids don’t deserve you at your worst. Take all the time you need to compose yourself.
